Mary Brzezinski, originally from Windermere, Florida, is a New Mexico based light lyric coloratura soprano. She received her BFA in Musical Theater from Samford University, a Master of Music in Vocal Performance from UNM, and adores singing musical theater and opera, alike! Now teaching private voice lessons in Albuquerque and music directing musicals for local community theaters, she also helps run New Mexico’s chapter of Opera On Tap with a mission to introduce people to opera and classical music in perhaps unexpected venues and in digestible musical morsels!

Her recent roles include Gran Sacerdotessa in Aida(Opera Southwest), Lauretta in Gianni Schicchi(Opera West), Mother in A Christmas Story:the musical (Albuquerque Little Theatre), Mabel in Pirates of Penzance(Albuquerque Little Theater), Mother/Muse in Andrew Lippa’s I Am Harvey Milk & Woman 2 in Unbreakable(New Mexico Gay Men’s Chorus), Queenie in Andrew Lippa’s The Wild Party(Musical Theatre Southwest), Aquata in Disney’s The Little Mermaid(Landmark Musicals), Alice in Le Comte Ory(Opera Southwest), Annina in La Traviata(Opera Southwest), Donna Anna in Don Giovanni(Musicians for Musicians), Königin der Nacht in Die Zauberflöte(Lyric Opera Studio Weimar), and has been singing as a part of Opera Southwest’s opera chorus for over the past ten years.
